Job Overview
As the Head of Country, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of our operations in the region. With a team of over 100 talented individuals, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership to the Egypt team, aligning them with the company's goals and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans for the Egyptian market, identifying opportunities for growth and market expansion.
- Grow our business in Egypt to make it the leading learning institution in the country.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, educational institutions, and industry partners.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and educational policies to inform strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets, control costs, and drive financial performance.
- Set and manage targets for the Egypt team, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth in the Egyptian market.
- Work closely with central teams on operations and forecasting, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment with company-wide initiatives.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Country Manager or Head of Operations.
- Strong understanding of the local market, with the ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the EdTech industry, with direct experience being a plus.
- Experience in navigating dynamic and fast-paced work environments, utilizing analytical skills to drive decision-making agility.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving successful business outcomes.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate large teams effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
